My girlfriend said the website was horrible. I of course defended it, since I found the old one at least reasonable.

But on trying to navigate the new one, I hit all sorts of similar glitches and badly-thought out interfaces. Yes, it needs some more work. Like the lack of navigation flexibility (in terms of times forward and back, as Jarbury said), and the fact that it does not know such core locations like "Auckland CBD" (it may know Auckland Central, but alternative spellings like that are important). And why is the school bus travel option being auto-selected "on"???

I know it can be very difficult to get these things right (and who knows what budget the people working on it had?) but this is THE public face for anyone considering PT. If somebody who is still a bit dubious about trying PT hits a snag here, he's not going to give it another try for months or maybe years. He's just going to go back to his car.
